Passionate and experienced Children’s Pastor Catherine brings over 20 years of ministry experience with a background in business and entertainment to help churches impact their community for God in reaching and discipling the next generation.
A dynamic leader with a proven track record specializing in children’s ministry, communication, strategy, leadership training, curriculum development, and administration.
Catherine was called into Children’s Ministry as a teen. She immediately jumped into action and participated in a medical mission trip to North Korea, where she led Children’s Ministries. Although she ran from the call of God on her life in college to pursue a medical degree, she returned to her calling in her early 20s. After years of Children’s Ministry, she is passionate about spiritually investing in the next generation, coming alongside families to develop healthy relationships and raise the next generation of spiritual leaders.
Over her tenure at Bayside, there was a high staff turnover and an organizational shift post COVID. As a result, culture was affected, and the pace slowed down significantly. She began to feel God tug on her heart and began to pray about a transition. Catherine communicated her prayers with her leadership team in December of 2021. She resigned in March of 2022 after raising her replacement, one of her interns. Catherine was highly successful at Bayside in working with their Southeastern Universities Thrive Campus to identify and mentor college interns for Children’s Ministry.
Over the last decade of ministry, Catherine is proudest of the strong ministry relationships she has developed. When she reflects on a moment she failed forward, she spoke about the pressures of navigating unprecedented times during COVID and said she regrets not slowing her pace down slightly. This season helped her understand the value of leading with health and balance.
Catherine’s track record speaks for itself. She has balanced her calling with education and action as she passionately invests in the next generation's lives.
